True open-air museum, the island of Naoshima is some few square kilometers lost in the "Inland Sea" between Shikoku and Honshu. It is reached by boat. The publishing company Fukutake, now named Benesse (welfare) Corporation created two museums and a contemporary art project combining heritage and contemporary works in a natural and sociological preserved.
